BELLY BINDING

Many cultures have a postpartum tradition called belly binding, which helps in the recovery period by providing support to the uterus and other organs after childbirth. 

At Wild Child Collective Doula Services, we specialize in the Bengkung style of belly binding, as well as some African methods using ethically handmade binds crafted by an African and or Indigenous  people. 

This service is done 24 hours to 48 hours after birth, or four to seven days after a C-section. You will receive your own Bengkung bind. During our session I will explain how to use these products, let you and your partner practice.

The bind is kept on for 10 to 12hours in the day, normally from the moment you wake up to before you go to bed. This is done for the traditional 6weeks for best results.

This session is usually 30 to 40 minutes.
