Lotus birth is the practice of not cutting the umbilical cord after birth, allowing the baby to stay connected to the placenta until it naturally detaches within 3-10 days.

The ritual is typically carried out with spiritual intentions, often to honor the sacred bond believed to exist between the placenta

and the baby. Some parents choose to air dry, salt, apply herbs/flowers or use essential oils on the placenta, while others store it in a placenta bag.

Here at Wild Child Collective Doula Services, we will meet you at your birthing location and complete the lotus birth ritual for you
